Ordering & delivery

How do I pay?

By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe.

How much is delivery?

$69 per order across metro Perth, however many pieces. Free on orders of $500 or more.

When will my glass arrive?

We email you a delivery window before dispatch. Plain cut glass is quickest; toughened glass takes longer because it is processed after cutting.

Do I need to be home?

Yes. Glass is handed to a person and checked on arrival. It is never left unattended.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us straight away. Once the glass is in production it cannot be changed or cancelled.

Can I return glass I no longer need?

Every piece is cut to your size, so we cannot accept change-of-mind returns. Damaged or incorrect pieces are replaced or refunded; see our returns policy.

Can you do shapes, holes or notches?

Not through the online calculator. Send us the details through the quote form on our contact page and we will price it.

Do you install?

No. We cut, polish, toughen and deliver. Mirrors and shelves are straightforward to fit with the right clips, brackets or adhesive.

What thickness do I need?

4mm for frames and small panes, 5–6mm for windows and cabinet doors, 8mm for small shelves and coffee tables, 10mm for shower panels and table tops, 12mm and up for large tops and frameless panels.

Should it be toughened?

If the glass goes in a door, shower, low window, balustrade or anywhere people could fall against it, it must be safety glass under AS 1288. In those places, tap Toughened.

Can you cut a round piece?

Yes, up to 12mm thick. Choose Round and enter the diameter.

Low iron or clear?

Clear glass looks green at the edge and through thick pieces. Low iron is much whiter. The difference is most obvious at 10mm and 12mm and over white surfaces.

Is low iron glass stronger?

No. It is the same strength as clear glass of the same thickness. Toughen it for safety glass.

Does tinted glass give privacy at night?

Not on its own. At night, with lights on inside, people can see in. For full-time privacy choose frosted or patterned glass.

Which side of frosted glass faces out?

For windows the frosted side usually goes inside, where it stays clean. For shower screens, put the smooth side to the water so it is easier to clean.

Acid etched or sandblasted?

Acid etched has a finer, more even finish and does not show fingerprints the way sandblasted glass does.

Which pattern gives the most privacy?

Satinlite obscures the most. Spotswood gives good privacy with more sparkle, and Cathedral is the lightest pattern.

Can you match glass in an old door?

Often, yes. Cathedral and Spotswood are the patterns most older Perth homes have. Send us a photo if you are not sure.

Which way do the reeds run?

Tell us in the notes at checkout if you need the reeds horizontal. By default they run along the length you enter.

Is reeded glass private?

It blurs shapes well at a distance but not completely up close. For a shower, many people pair it with a frosted panel.

4mm or 6mm mirror?

4mm for most wall and wardrobe mirrors, 6mm for large and full-height mirrors, gyms and anywhere it should feel solid.

What is a bevelled edge?

A sloped edge ground and polished around the whole mirror. It catches the light and looks finished without a frame. Available on silver mirror rectangles.

Can a mirror be used as a splashback?

Not behind a cooktop. Mirror cannot be toughened, so for a splashback choose painted or clear low iron toughened glass.

Should my table top be toughened?

Yes, we strongly recommend it, which is why it is selected by default. A table top gets knocked, leaned on and has hot dishes put on it. Toughened glass is several times stronger than ordinary glass and, if it does break, it breaks into small blunt pieces rather than long shards.

What are safety corners?

On a square or rectangular top, each of the four corners is tipped: the sharp point is cut off and polished. The corner is less likely to catch skin or clothing, or chip when it is knocked, and the top still looks square. It is $37.58 for all four corners. For a visibly round corner, choose a radius under Rounded corners instead. Worth choosing if children are around or the table sits where people walk past it.

What thickness do I need?

6mm to protect an existing table, 8mm for a small glass-topped side or coffee table on a solid frame, 10mm for most dining tables where the glass is the top, 12mm for large tables or bases with widely spaced supports. The table top thickness guide goes through this in more detail.

How do I measure a round top?

Measure the widest point straight across the centre, in millimetres. For a table protector, measure the top of the table and decide whether you want the glass flush with the edge or a few millimetres inside it.

Low iron or clear?

Clear glass has a green tint you can see at the edge and through thick pieces. Low iron is much whiter, so it looks better over white or light timber and on 10mm and 12mm tops where the green is more obvious.

How thick should a glass shelf be?

It depends on the length between supports and what sits on it. 6mm suits short shelves in cabinets supported at both ends. For longer spans or heavier items go to 8mm or 10mm, and use 10mm or 12mm for floating or bracket shelves. See the shelf thickness guide.

Should my shelf be toughened?

For most shelves, yes. Toughened glass is much stronger and breaks into small blunt pieces. Untoughened shelves are only sensible for small, lightly loaded shelves inside a closed cabinet.

Can you make a shelf with rounded corners or holes?

Not through the online calculator. Email us your drawing and we will price it.

What size should I order for a cabinet?

Measure inside the cabinet and take off a few millimetres on each dimension so the shelf drops in without scraping. The guide on measuring explains how much to allow.

What colours can I choose?

Any colour in the Dulux range. Type the colour name (for example Dulux Natural White or Dulux Domino) when you order. Standard and metallic finishes are available. Colours on screen and paint chips can look slightly different on glass, so if the exact shade matters, ask us about a sample before you order.

Why low iron glass for a painted splashback?

Ordinary clear glass has a green tint that shows through the paint, so whites look minty and pale colours shift. Low iron glass has most of the iron removed, so the colour you pick is the colour you see. All our painted splashbacks use low iron glass.

Is the glass toughened?

Yes, every splashback is 6mm toughened safety glass. Glass near a cooktop must be toughened, and toughened glass handles the heat and knocks of a kitchen far better than ordinary glass.

Can you cut holes for power points?

Yes. Choose how many power point cut-outs you need on the product page. After you order we email you to confirm the exact position of each one before the glass is made. Holes cannot be added after toughening.

How do I measure for a splashback?

Measure the width and height of the wall area in millimetres at a few points and use the smallest. Take about 3mm off each side that meets a wall, cabinet or benchtop so the glass fits with a silicone gap. For more than one panel, measure each panel separately.

Do you install splashbacks?

No, we make and deliver the glass. Most glaziers, kitchen fitters and handy home owners can fix a glass splashback with a neutral cure silicone made for glass.

What thickness is a frameless shower panel?

10mm toughened glass is the usual thickness for a frameless fixed panel, and it is what we supply. Thinner glass is used in framed and semi-frameless screens where a frame supports the edges.

Why no holes?

A fixed panel can be held by wall brackets or clamps, a U-channel along the floor or wall, and a support bar to the wall, all of which grip the glass without drilling. Panels without holes are quicker to make and there is no risk of a hole in the wrong place. Doors on hinges need holes and are not sold online.

Is hardware included?

No, the price is for the glass only. Standard 10mm shower brackets, U-channel and support bars from a bathroom or hardware shop fit our panels. Check the hardware maker's instructions for the gap to leave between the glass and the wall or floor.

How do I measure a fixed shower panel?

Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest. Take off the gap your hardware needs (often 5 to 10mm at the wall). For the height, measure from the hob or floor to where the top of the glass should finish, usually 2000 to 2100mm.

How heavy is a 10mm panel?

About 25kg per square metre, so a 1000 × 2100mm panel is about 53kg. It takes two people to carry and fit. Delivery is to the door at ground level.

Can I get a rounded corner?

Yes. Choose a rounded corner on the product page and tell us which corner (usually the top corner away from the wall). We confirm it with you by email before the glass is made.

Laminated or toughened?

Both are safety glass. Toughened is stronger; laminated stays in the frame when it breaks, which matters for overhead glass, balustrades and security. Laminated glass can be cut after it is made; toughened cannot.

What does 6.38mm mean?

Two 3mm sheets of glass plus a 0.38mm interlayer.
